Two of our projects were selected by Interreg IT-AT program

We are proud to announce that the Interreg IT-AT program has selected as many as two of our projects.
One of the funded projects is SENECA: the main goal is to investigate the influence of aging of the cellular system, particularly the immune system, on the development of cancer. This promising project promises to shed light on the intricate relationship between aging and cancer development.
The second project is PROMOS, intended to revolutionize our understanding of the influence of mechanical forces on the maturation of induced pluripotent stem cell-derived cardiomyocytes (iPSC CM) and the development of cardiac disease. To this end, we intend to implement a model that simulates overloading and unloading of engineered cardiac tissue (EHT). In addition, with funding of the PROMOS project, we intend to establish an EHT facility at Eurac Research. This facility will be a breakthrough, improving our research capabilities in the field of advanced and #translational human models.
Congratulations to our researchers Christian Weichenberger and Alessandra Rossini for winning these grants! We can achieve new milestones through their projects!
