Representing Offices

Outside of Bolzano, Eurac Research has a representative office in Rome and in Vienna.

    Representing Office Rome

    The Rome office maintains a permanent technical-scientific cooperation with the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security in the framework of the Alpine Convention and other international agreements for the sustainable development of mountain areas. It also coordinates relations with Italian universities in the framework of academic activities, doctoral and post-doctoral programs, and participates in research activities on green economy, natural resource governance and economic and environmental policies.

    Representing Office Vienna

    This Representing Office is located in the Vienna International Center (VIC) at the United Nations Headquarters. The Office supports Eurac Research Institutes and Centers in developing and implementing collaborative projects in the Pan-European Region as well as the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Vienna Office-Secretariat of the Carpathian Convention. Project fields covered include biodiversity, sustainable transport, protected areas management, environmental governance, climate change and innovative approaches for sustainable and resilient development in mountains. Vienna’s Representing Office also acts as a liaison office to strengthen the cooperation with UN Agencies, the Alpine Convention and European research networks.
