Sofia Scroppo is a designer from Italy, with a Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design from the Fine Arts Academy of Bologna. She works as a freelance visual designer, mostly within the cultural sector, and is currently enrolled in the Master program of Eco-Social Design at the Free University of Bolzano. She is in the process of refining her practice as a facilitator and project manager with a focus on social justice and community-centered design. Her research interest is centered around the ritualistic significance of art and music in their role of community building, especially within the rural environment. Within this framework she is exploring how the promotion of alternative narratives and positive future scenarios can foster a bottom-up social transformation.
