Short bio

Juraj Zvolenský joined the Institute of Earth Observation as a Junior Researcher in February 2024. His research focuses on managing complex EO data workflows and cloud-based processing, aiming to provide researchers with seamless access to data and computational resources to drive scientific advancements across various domains.


As part of the InterTwin project (https://www.intertwin.eu/), Juraj Zvolenský is helping to extend the OpenEO platform (https://openeo.cloud/) to support complex workflows by embedding FAIR principles in development and data products.

To advance standardization efforts, Juraj Zvolenský actively contributes to the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) Testbed-20 (https://www.ogc.org/initiatives/ogc-testbed-20/), a leading initiative driving innovation in free and open standards.

Juraj Zvolenský holds a bachelor's degree in Human Geography from King’s College London and a master's degree in Geographical Information Management and Applications from the University of Utrecht.
