Sophia Schönthaler is a researcher at the Center for Migration and Diversity, where her work focuses on the political participation of women from minority backgrounds, with a special emphasis on intersectionality as a theoretical and methodological framework. In addition to her research, she serves as the administrator of the Eurac Research Ethics Review Board and is pursuing her PhD at the Center for Southeastern European Studies at the University of Graz. She holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Bologna, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and Cultural and Social Anthropology from the University of Vienna.
