PARATUS is a Horizon Europe-funded project that aims to promote disaster preparedness and resilience by co-developing with stakeholder support tools for managing the systemic risks of compounding disasters. The project is managed by a consortium of 19 partners and belongs to a cluster of similar projects aiming at building disaster-resilient societies.
The final goal of the project will be developing a web-based platform with open-source tools that support authorities in making informed decision with respect to multi-hazard risks and compound events management.
In the coming months, PARATUS will focus on refining multi-hazard risk guidelines, expanding community outreach, and increasing engagement with local and regional policymakers to develop scalable and context base multi-hazard disaster risk reduction strategies.
The recent PARATUS Project General Assembly marked a significant step forward in enhancing climate resilience and disaster preparedness, particularly in the face of extreme weather events. As the PARATUS Project moves forward, the dedication of its interdisciplinary team and partners continues to drive progress. The assembly served as a reminder of the power of collaboration and the collective responsibility we all share in addressing climate risks.
