MULTITRAX-MR

MULTISense training center for Extreme Conditions with Mixed Reality

This project is a continuation of the project 1ALP_EUR: Multipurpose simulation for extreme climates in alpine environments, which was financed by the Autonomous Province of Bolzano/Bozen with Resolution 1472/2013 approving the programmatic-financial agreement for the development of technological and innovative research for the period 2013-2018 with Eurac Research for the research field ‘Alpine Technologies’. The object of the project is the realisation of research infrastructures for the laboratory reproduction of alpine, European and extreme environmental conditions in order to ensure international competitiveness. With this extension of the terraXcube centre's functionalities, it is intended to respond to additional requests that emerged in the past, which could not be realised in the first phase due to a lack of funding, or those that were added during the first years of operation to improve/innovate existing functionalities and add new ones. The main objective of the expansion is the implementation of an international centre for the training of rescue units and industrial operators/workers through the use of VR/AR/MR technologies in extreme and non-extreme environments, completing the set of environmental parameters that can be simulated with the visual and auditory component
