As social and ecological crises intensify, mountain regions face growing environmental and socio-cultural challenges, including biodiversity loss, overtourism, and gentrification. In response, scientists, policymakers, and civil society are advocating for action-oriented strategies to bridge science, policy, and practice for transformative change.

The International Mountain Conference (#IMC25), taking place from September 14 to 18, 2025, in Innsbruck, Austria, provides a platform for cross-disciplinary discussions on mountain-related issues.

The session FS 3.195: Bridging Science, Policy, and Civil Society for Transformative Action in Mountain Regions focuses on integrating diverse knowledge systems, fostering stakeholder engagement, and co-producing solutions for socio-ecological resilience.

Researchers and professionals are encouraged to submit abstracts from January 15 to February 20, 2025.

For submission guidelines and key dates, visit the official conference website: imc2025.info.
