If the current trend in emissions continues, the world is heading towards a global average temperature increase by 2.2 °C to as much as 3.5 °C by the year 2100.
How should the world respond due to climate change? How can we prepare for all types of international migration, voluntary, forced, regulated or chaotic? What climate-relevant migratory factors affect new demographics?
In the seminar these topics and others will be discussed as will the requirements for joining NEMOR – the Network for European Mountain Research working group.
The welcoming speech will be given by Elisa Ravazzoli, Institute for Regional Development and Center for Climate Change and Transformation, Eurac Research.
Tor Arnesen is Research Professor Emeritus at the Inland Norway University of Applied Science. Tor Arnesen’s research includes studies of the development and management of outdoor resources, particularly with an emphasis on recreation and holiday homes and more generally on the protection and use of our outdoor areas.
