- Project status: ongoing
- Funding: FESR (EU funding / Project)
- Institute: Institute for Renewable Energy
The goal of ROBO&M is to develop solutions related to the use of field robotics that can replace the work of the operator in collecting data and images, increase the intrinsic value of O&M contracts, and free up human resources for analyzing the data and thus create added value in new services.
ROBO&M's overall objective is to substantially increase automation within the photovoltaic industry with a special focus on quality assurance in the operation & maintenance phase. Specifically, it aims to create the following products and services:
- Robots as a solution for the continuous inspection of photovoltaic systems
- Synergy between field robots and drones for the inspection of photovoltaic plants
- Computer / machine vision services for analyzing images from diagnostic techniques
- Digital platform enabling the management of autonomous solutions and the creation of insights from data fusion logic
