About

My research interest is the design and control of heating and cooling systems that make use of heat pumps. I lead the research group working on Sustainable Heating and Cooling Systems at the Institute for Renewable Energy.

My work is focused on the management and elaboration of national and international research and innovation projects, where we collaborate with industrial and research partners to the development of heat pump systems for single buildings and for district heating and cooling applications.

I am member of Euro Heat and Power – DHC+, association of the research centers working in the district heating and cooling sector and of the European Heat Pumps Association. I have collaborated actively, as an expert and as Operating Agent, to several projects implemented within Sustainable Heating and Cooling technology cooperation programme, supported by the International Energy Agency.
