Ökosystemdienstleistungen in Gebirgsregionen

    Besonders Gebirgsregionen bieten eine breite Palette von Ökosystemdienstleistungen, die für das Leben unverzichtbar sind. Dazu gehören die Versorgung mit Nahrung und sauberem Trinkwasser, die Regulierung des Klimas und natürlicher Gefahren, sowie Erholung und Freizeitaktivitäten. Gleichzeitig reagieren diese Gebiete äußerst empfindlich auf globale Veränderungen. Daher ist die Forschung zur kausalen Beziehung zwischen Biodiversität, ökologischen Funktionen, Ökosystemdienstleistungen, Druck auf Landressourcen und globalen Veränderungen von großem wissenschaftlichem Interesse und praktischer Bedeutung für die Lebensqualität. Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, die Ökosystemdienstleistungen von Bergregionen zu analysieren und durch angepasste Modelle zu quantifizieren.
