Website: General EURAC activities: NODE 3: In this Node EURAC is responsible to acquire, process and manage the Earth observation that will be distributed to the other partners. This Node is divided into four separate Work packages WP 3101: PRISMA preprocessing The input here is the PRISMA imagery as distributed by the Italian Space agency (ASI). The work of this WP lasts for the complete two-year cycle with a higher impact at the beginning of the project. Eurac has four tasks in this WP: Acquisition of hyperspectral PRISMA data by study site Evaluation / Quality checking of the data Correction of the data Cloud cover masks The output of the WP is ready to use PRISMA data that will be distributed through the activities in WP3103. WP 3102: Other Remote Sensing data processing The input of this WP are Copernicus Sentinel-1 data, if available, additional SAR data such as ALOS-2 or SAOCOM and Copernicus Sentinel-2 multispectral data. The work of this WP lasts for the complete two-year cycle with a higher impact at the beginning of the project. Eurac has two tasks in this WP: Pre-processing of SAR data Pre-processing of multispectral RS data The output of the Work package is ready to use SAR and multispectral data distributed through the activities in WP3103 WP 3103: Remote Sensing Data management and coordination The input of this WP are the datasets created in WP3101 and WP3102. The work of this WP lasts for the complete two-year cycle with a higher impact at the beginning of the project. Eurac has three tasks in this WP: Standardized storage of all the Remote Sensing data in Rasdaman multidimensional arrays (data cubes) Set up of dedicated data cubes based on location and data product Enable the access to the data cubes to the project partners The output of the Work package is Remote Sensing data organized in different data cubes and ready to be used by partners. Das Hyperecos Projekt ist ein 2-jähriges Projekt im Rahmen der Ausschreibung "PRISMA Scienza" der italienischen Raumfahrtbehörde (ASI). In diesem von der Universität Tuscia geleiteten Projekt ist die EURAC Research zusammen mit Terrasystem SRL, dem "Consiglio per la ricerca in agriculture e l'analisi dell'economia agraria“ (CREA) und der Universität Trier Projektpartner. In diesem Projekt evaluieren wir die neuen hyperspektralen Erdbeobachtungsdaten der PRISMA-Mission in Zusammenhang mit Big-Data-Analysetechniken für Ökosystemstudien. Die Fähigkeit der hyperspektralen Daten erlaubt die Verknüpfung von Ökosystem- und Habitatmerkmalen von Pflanzen in insbesondere deren spektrale Eigenschaften. Zusammen mit ergänzenden EO-Daten, wie z.B. SAR-Daten, können bestimmte spezifische Merkmale bezogen auf den Wassergehalt und der Vegetationsstruktur erforscht werden. Dieses Projekt konzentriert sich auf alpine Grasländer sowie Wald- und Feuchtgebietsökosysteme (Küstenvegetation), die bereits unter Klima- und anthropogenen Einflüssen leiden. An sieben verschiedenen Standorten sollen im Rahmen des Projekts Ökosysteme und ihre Veränderungen durch Kartierung von Ökosystem-Subtypen und biologischer Vielfalt auf der Grundlage breiter Vegetationsklassen analysiert werden, die mit Hyperspektraldaten der PRISMA-Mission erkennbar sind.
