Call for abstracts: 2nd Global Mountain Sustainability Forum 2022

    GLOMOS together with the Center for Advanced Studies of Eurac Research will organize the 2nd Global Mountain Sustainability Forum (GMS Forum), which will take place online, on October 3-4 2022.

    The topic of second edition of the GMS Forum will be "Homo Montanus: Sustainable human-mountain relations in a changing world" and it aims at exploring sustainable and resilient human-mountain relations in light of current societal and environmental challenges humanity is faced with.

    Scientists and students from all disciplines are invited to submit applications to present their research. Applicants should submit an abstract, indicating a preliminary title, and presenting a short summary of no more than 350 words. Abstracts should include the specific research question, the theoretical and methodological approach and, where applicable, the data used. Interdisciplinary topics are particularly welcome.

    Abstracts must be submitted by no later than Sunday, 12 June 2022 and should be assigned to one of the four thematic sessions:

    1. Managing environmental challenges in mountain areas
    2. Resilient communities & community resilience
    3. Mountain leadership
    4. Changing values and mountain narratives
