PROMOS

Strengthening the biomedical ecosystem

    PROMOS

The IT-AT program area boasts the presence of high-quality scientific offer. There is, however, a mismatch between supply and demand for innovation, as a culture of technology transfer in academia is missing. To enable the territory to use its full R&I potential, leveraging regional specificities, there is a need to develop coop-models to transfer technology from science to society. Starting from the biomedical ecosystem, PROMOS will implement a pathway to facilitate the transfer of research results into the market (WP2) and the clinics (WP3). Toward this goal, PROMOS will foster collaboration between academia and industry and compare regulatory aspects in both states to facilitate cross-border implementation of biomedical solutions, sharing best practices. A training program, including micro-credentials and innovation camps (WP4), will help researchers transforming their results into marketable solutions. A cross-border alliance will be created with SMEs, innovation clusters, universities, research institutes and R&I action groups, as a thinktank to improve access to R&I results, and to sustain long-term uptake. PROMOS will increase the capacity to capitalize/transform on scientific results. Its model could be replicated in other sectors/territories, where biomedical SMEs are miss.
