Waste is invisible. As a society, we do everything we can to keep it out of sight. But today we have reached the point where this is no longer possible. Waste is omnipresent. However, when scientists and scholars try to understand this object and make it visible again, one quickly realises that waste goes beyond the boundaries of our disciplines and is also an intellectual challenge. In his talk, Oliver Schlaudt will explore the different layers of waste, from physics to biology, cultural evolution to social and legal layers, showing that waste is truly interdisciplinary.

The lecture will be held in English and is open to everyone interested. No registration is required.
