The group approaches sensitive ELSI issues with an integrated approach trying to deconstruct the problem into different components, analyses it and approaches possible actions course based on empirical evidence. Science happens and impacts society and the study of critical interaction between the planned research and stakeholders is one of the focuses of our approach. We work to develop solutions for effective and transparent data and bio-specimen sharing. International exchange is a main prerequisite of ELSI Studies. Research happens in an international context and only deep interactions with other research centers can meaningfully inform research done in house.Therefore, we encourage international fellowships based on joint research projects.
