Holiday on Bike Conference

Wolfram Sparber presents project Mobster and research results on e-mobility at the bike travel exhibition

The 21st edition of Holiday on Bike, spin off event of the well known "Eurobike" exhibition dedicated to the topic "bike travel", will take place in Lake Constance the 3 and 4 of September. As part of the Holiday on Bike cycle travel market, national and international exhibitors will be presenting the most beautiful bike regions, hotels and travel programmes for cyclists.

Today one trend that has more impact on Alpine tourism is the explosion of the e-bike phenomenon: locations strongly oriented towards tourism have to manage the challenges and opportunities associated with it promptly and proactively. The research project "Mobster", coordinated by Eurac Research, promotes electric mobility to create a system of innovative tourist areas that can attract responsible tourists and educate traditional ones.

Sparber will participate with the presentation "E-biking in Mountain Regions: An opportunity for tourism? Findings from the Mobster Project" presenting the results achieved within the project and bringing expertise in the transition to zero-emission mobility.
