It's time to evaluate the present, future and closed activities of our Institute at the annual Scientific Committee the next 14 and 15 November.

    • Date: 14-15.11.2023
    • Place: NOI Techpark
    • Typology: Institute internal event

The Institute for Renewable Energy calls the annual Scientific Council meeting the next 14 and 15 November, at NOI Techpark, Bolzano. This event represents an important occasion for all the research groups and collaborators, in order to evaluate the present, future and closed activities of the Institute, as well as to receive an evaluation feedback and recommendation for future research projects.

In the last 12 month the Institute could continue it’s development trend of the past years. Considering the financial and personnel development, the revenues of the Institute at the end of 2023 are expected to be around 10,8 million € with 192 collaborators.

In 2023 the Institute was involved in around 70 commissioned projects and in around 80 public co-funded research projects. Actually several new research projects could be kicked off / won in core topics of the Institute. A coordinate project which has got quite some attention in 2023 is the Horizon project Symbiosist working on the very actual topic of agri - photovoltaic solutions.

With regard to infrastructure and laboratories, the focus of the last year was to manage at its best the existing infrastructure and further enlarge the list of accredited tests based on international standards. This allowed in 2023 that most main infrastructures are running accredited tests (such us PV performance, accelerated life cycle, thermal performance of building components and heat pumps),bringing the overall number to 10.

With regard to research output in 2022/2023 the Institute published a relevant number of articles in scientific journals and conference proceedings (around 90), with most Journal Articles being in Q1 or Q2 Journals.

The Institute continues to invest in a strong and well established local, national and international network. This is done through many activities, presence at main sectorial industry and scientific events and active participation in specific associations.
