HeriTACE

HeriTACE is a collaborative initiative aimed at transforming heritage townhouse buildings into energy-efficient assets while preserving their historical integrity. Our transdisciplinary team is dedicated to developing innovative solutions for deep renovations of heritage townhouses. Through holistic assessments, optimal design approaches, durable insulation solutions, smart HVAC concepts, and integrated energy supply solutions, HeriTACE ensures a sustainable future for historical neighborhoods. A Guiding idea in HeriTACE is to provide comfort WHERE and WHEN it is needed.

Eurac Research is partner in HeriTACE and contributes

• on the hand side with the further development of the VentiCool Tool – providing solutions on natural ventilation for cooling concepts, which allow to reduce installations and related impact in heritage buildings
• on the other hand side with their wide experience on energy refurbishment in historic buildings, bringing in the experience from the HiBERatlas and other assessments of best practice and retrofit solutions, and supporting in particular the Italian case study
