Marc Zebisch, Head of our Center, takes on key roles in Citizens' Climate Council

We are happy to share one important update from Bolzano. On 25.01.2024, in a noteworthy press conference featuring the President of the Autonomous Province of Bolzano Arno Kompatscher, our Head of Center has been appointed as member of the newly formed Citizens' Climate Council Steering Committee. Additionally, Marc will be coordinating the Scientific Advisory Board for both the Citizens' Climate Council and the Stakeholder Climate Forum.

The roles of these two new bodies signify a meaningful step toward implementing climate policy through active public involvement. In particular, the Citizens' Climate Council is scheduled to meet from January 2024 to June 2024, with five working sessions dedicated to discussing, supplementing, and developing concrete proposals for the measures outlined in the South Tyrol Climate Plan 2040.

Keep following the Center website and social media pages for more detailed insights into this important initiative, including updates on the Council's progress and outcomes, all of which will be thoroughly documented in a final report.
