Our Center’s Leadership Contributes to IPCC Scoping Meeting

Our Head of Center, Marc Zebisch, is representing Eurac Research at the prestigious IPCC Scoping Meeting in Kuala Lumpur.

    This week, our Head of the Center for Climate Change and Transformation, Marc Zebisch, is participating in the prestigious IPCC Scoping Meeting in Kuala Lumpur. This meeting brings together over 230 experts from 70+ countries to draft the outlines of the three Working Group contributions to the IPCC’s Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) on climate change science.

    Out of thousands of applications, Marc was invited as one of the 240 experts, highlighting the exceptional expertise and commitment of Eurac Research and our center to advancing climate science and solutions.

    As IPCC Chair Jim Skea remarked, “The meeting will stamp the character of the seventh cycle,” marking an important step toward understanding and addressing the global climate crisis.

    We’re proud of Marc's contribution to this global effort, reaffirming our center's dedication to impactful climate research.
