13th Congress of the International Society for Autonomic Neuroscience
- English
Our cardiovascular researcher Giada Cattelan attended the 13th Congress of the International Society for Autonomic Neuroscience (ISAN 2024) in Oxford and Birmingham, UK.
During the congress, Giada presented her work entitled "In vitro modelling of the neurocardiac junction with a novel human iPSC-based co-culture system: new perspectives for the investigation of cardiac autonomic regulation".
We are proud to share that Giada was awarded the Axion BioSystems Travel Award to attend this congress. Axion was impressed by Giada's work and decided to offer her this opportunity.
The ISAN 2024 Congress covered a wide range of autonomic research, both basic and clinical. The Oxford session "Cardiac Neurobiology: Concepts to Clinic" explored the critical role of the autonomic nervous system in regulating normal cardiac function and its involvement in the pathophysiology of many cardiovascular diseases. This event brought together the international community to discuss the latest discoveries and innovations in autonomic neuroscience, with ample time for networking and building new collaborations. While the Oxford meeting had a cardiovascular focus, the Birmingham meeting, held in the green heart of the historic campus, covered the full range of autonomic research.
