Our Third Annual Hypertension Awareness Day
- English
Also this year, our CHRIS team organised a successful awareness and training day on the World Hypertension Day.
On the morning of 22 May, our CHRIS Nurses, in cooperation with the Weisses Kreuz Südtirol / Croce Bianca Bolzano, were at the market in Malles to meet local people, measure blood pressure and provide precious information on the health and risks associated with hypertension.
In the evening, our researchers met with general practitioners and hospital doctors in Silandro to share the results of our studies using the CHRIS data.
Anna Grill, nephrologist at Silandro Hospital, started with an opening presentation "Chronic kidney disease: outlines of epidemiology and integrated management". Essi Hantikainen gave a talk on "Interpretation of epidemiological evidence" and Giulia Barbieri presented her "Studying the relationship between dietary patterns (DP) and kidney function".
This event format allows us to meet people and doctors in the territory. We return the results of our research through communication with citizens and doctors who can apply our knowledge in everyday clinical practice.
We hope to continue this tradition next year and make a difference in our community.
