The SEC project "Strategy for Circular Economy in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano" was developed by the Institute for Renewable Energy and the Institute for Regional Development of Eurac Research, and funded by the Italian Ministry for the Ecological Transition.

The project analyzed, in the period between September 2020 and June 2022, the state of the art on circular economy penetration in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano.

The results, collected in 9 public reports, aim to support public policies and private enterprises towards circular economy by focusing on potential synergies between the bioeconomy and construction sectors. In particular, the project addressed the potential recovery and re-use of by-products and waste from agricultural and forestry activities, in building materials or components.
