Snow Hydrology Course: Eurac, UniTrento and Prof. Gleason in the field

We have been thrilled to co-organize a course on Snow Hydrology in collaboration with the hydrology research group of Prof. Rigon at the University of Trento, featuring the Fullbright fellow Prof. Kelly E. Gleason from Portland State University. Giacomo Bertoldi, Michele Bozzoli, Riccardo Barella, and Valentina Premier presented their results on the Snowtinel project. Together, we are advancing the understanding of snow processes through innovative measurements, modeling, and remote sensing techniques.

We had an incredible fieldwork session for the Snow Hydrology course at Passo Campo Carlo Magno! 🌨️ Our team, including dedicated collaborators from Eurac, conducted snow depth sampling, snow profile analysis, and UAV surveys thanks to Abraham Mejia Aguilar, to study snow distribution in forested and non-forested areas. Special thanks to the Snowtinel project for their support in making this possible!
