Renewal of the Online Information System bistro - Terminological Database

The project aims at creating a completely new and innovative online information system for terminology. Thanks to a collaboration between the Institute for Applied Linguistics and the Information Technologies department of Eurac Research, the contents currently published in the Information System for Legal Terminology bistro (http://bistro.eurac.edu) will be presented in a new, much more flexible and stable online database. The new tool will cater for the specific needs of different types of users, from legal experts to translators, students and anyone who might need help in understanding and writing legal texts. The simple and advanced search functions will work more rapidly, be easier to use and allow selecting a series of search parameters (e.g. filtering by legal system or subdomain). One of the main objectives is also to ensure a constant maintenance of the system and a quick update of contents.
