CLARIN-IT-ER

Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure for Italy at Eurac Research

The CLARIN-IT-ER project is meant to further the integration of the Institute of Applied Linguistics at Eurac Research with the existing European CLARIN infrastructure (see https://www.clarin.eu) using standardized technology and (meta-)data formats. This will be achieved by setting up a repository for linguistic data (learner corpora, terminology datasets, etc.) at Eurac Research, where all data that has been collected at the institute can be centrally stored and distributed. In doing this Eurac Research will also coordinate with the national CLARIN-IT project, especially with the national coordinators, the Istituto di Linguistica Computazionale "A. Zampolli" del Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (ILC-CNR), and try to achieve synergetic effects where possible.

One main goal within this project is for the repository at Eurac Research to reach the status of a certified CLARIN B-Centre (see https://www.clarin.eu/content/clarin-centres).
