The role of Eurac Research:
Eurac Research coordinated the CommONEnergy project. In this demo case, our researchers have provided support in relation to building modeling and dynamic simulations of energy performance and comfort, interventions to improve ventilation and natural light, energy consumption and interior comfort monitoring. Our researchers measured the results of all interventions by comparing energy consumption in the period January-April 2016 and January-April 2017 and found savings of about 40%.
Implemented technologies:
Innovative HVAC solutions, thermal insulation, ventilative cooling, daylighting systems, iBEMS (intelligent Building Management System)
