BuiltHub: Web-based building knowledge platform

The web-based building stock data platform developed in the BuiltHub project is devoted to collecting, storing, and analysing data, metadata and knowledge about the European building stock and related sectors

    EU building stock database

The data platform collects and analyses data, metadata and knowledge about the European building stock with a focus on main characteristics, shell performance, technical systems, renovation, energy performance, certification, financing, energy poverty and the energy market.

The data collected will be transformed into knowledge through the calculation of key performance indicators and visualisations accessible to stakeholders. An emphasis will be put on the quality of the metadata and the possibility and ease to download bulk data. Depending on open data accessibility, the data will be available at European, national, regional, and local level (at different NUTS levels) and include the time dimension, i.e., the development of key indicators over the years.

    Development

The database has been developed within the framework of BuiltHub project and it is dedicated mainly to policy makers, investors, public authorities, researchers, real estate developers, and designers. Stakeholders will be supported in the development, monitoring and evaluation of building stock performance, decarbonisation strategies, policies, business models, new-build and renovation plans.

    Licence

The platform is open to any stakeholder. Link Data providers need to register and follow a data quality check process to ensure that the data uploaded to the platform follows high-quality standards.
